Hello guys...would anyone happen to know if the 'Unlicensed' type of license allows everyone to perform operations and transfers on the token compiled with that license? Or does the license only apply to the written but uncompiled code? Giving the written code, does it create the possibility of being attacked or having modifications made to my compiled token?

I mean....if I compile and create a token with that license (unlicense) and some functions...when it become public, could someone use it as he wants, transferring (for example) tokens due to the unlicense license? or the license impacts only the source code?
ok, so there is no risk to lose tokens or the compiled smart contract
sorry...stupid question but I am beginner :(
however...thank you

unlicensed means it's not open-source
and you can get into trouble if you use it for personal/commercial purpose (only if caught that is)
Jul 25, 2023, 10:03 AM
mm no
it is the opposite
Jul 25, 2023, 10:04 AM
Huh?

This is free and unencumbered software released into the public domain.

Anyone is free to copy, modify, publish, use, compile, sell, or distribute this software, either in source code form or as a compiled binary, for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, and by any means.

Unlicensed was for non open-source, all others are open-source licenses, mit, gpl etc
it can be both

I am not understadnign what you want to say

What is the Unlicense? The Unlicense is a template for disclaiming copyright monopoly interest in software you've written; in other words, it is a template for dedicating your software to the public domain. It combines a copyright waiver patterned after the very successful public domain SQLite project with the no-warranty statement from the widely-used MIT/X11 license.
Unlicensed and Unlicense different?
Jul 25, 2023, 10:07 AM
I don't think so
Jul 25, 2023, 10:07 AM
Im now confused
Jul 25, 2023, 10:07 AM

Jul 25, 2023, 10:08 AM

Jul 25, 2023, 10:08 AM
I won't say copyright
Jul 25, 2023, 10:09 AM
not mentioned? I mean does it mean license not mentioned
Jul 25, 2023, 10:09 AM
you must pay for copyright
for somethink like copyright check what Uniswap did for V3
Jul 25, 2023, 10:09 AM
they're using unlicensed
Jul 25, 2023, 10:09 AM
where
Jul 25, 2023, 10:10 AM

your choice
Jul 25, 2023, 10:11 AM
oh yes this
Jul 25, 2023, 10:11 AM
ok so no problems if I will use unlicense for a commercial use?!
Jul 25, 2023, 10:11 AM
if you don't wanna mention what licence it is under then unlicensed I think
Unlicense if open-source
Jul 25, 2023, 10:12 AM
MIT is fine too
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
ok yes....I want everyone to see the code...
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
they will see anyway
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
the standard ❤️... code should be open-source 😂 so I can copy later
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
you only need to verify it
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
is it difficult?
Jul 25, 2023, 10:13 AM
no
google is your friend
Jul 25, 2023, 10:14 AM
if you're using imports then to Verify also search the topic of flattened contracts
Jul 25, 2023, 10:15 AM
No more google just use chatgpt 😂
Jul 25, 2023, 12:13 PM
one of the most useless things i've ever read lol
imagine suing someone because he copied a verified smart contract
are we in that time yet? :o
Jul 25, 2023, 3:31 PM
just an assumption
Jul 25, 2023, 5:18 PM
No one cares about this in solidity
Good luck teaching judges what smart contracts are
