Hi, anyone knows how to get all erc20 token holding of an address and its prices
FYI: I dont want to pay for etherscan pro api
May 2, 2023, 7:24 AM
infura, alchemy etc
they are free
May 2, 2023, 7:35 AM
you should run your own node or would quickly hit the rate limit
May 2, 2023, 7:39 AM
And prepare to pay $500 monthtly
May 2, 2023, 7:41 AM
there's no free meal, infrastructure costs real money
May 2, 2023, 7:41 AM
I don't understand the whole point blockchain infra side is so lame. Just see paypal or stripe how easy it is to use their API
May 2, 2023, 7:42 AM
blockchain is new
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
I don't have to pay $500 maintaining my infra
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
it's not yet mature enough
development is always a headache
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
It is supposed to be better i thought
It is a headache
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
yes it'll get better, remember old internet?
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
15yrs old, u still call it new?
May 2, 2023, 7:43 AM
before 2020 it was an experimental tech
now only it's gaining traction
in adoption
May 2, 2023, 7:44 AM
it wasn't experimental before 2020, there were real money involved
May 2, 2023, 7:44 AM
well true, but you're seeing this from a dev point of view, as a solution to traditional finance it's still a baby
not baby, adolescent now
May 2, 2023, 7:45 AM
but that can't be an excuse to design better storage management
May 2, 2023, 7:47 AM
there are some in my radar
for storage
for cloud, everything only ramping up after btc touched trillion $ mcap
before people only considered it a joke
and as gambling
May 2, 2023, 7:48 AM
such as?
May 2, 2023, 7:48 AM
Still they do
Btc is old tech
May 2, 2023, 7:50 AM
blockstream killed btc
May 2, 2023, 7:52 AM
elaborate
May 2, 2023, 7:52 AM
long story
May 2, 2023, 7:53 AM
They the ones who made lightning?
May 2, 2023, 7:53 AM
right, but they're also the owner of Bitcoin's repo and domain
(not decentralized of course)
(not decentralized of course)
May 2, 2023, 7:55 AM
there's something new project, I forgot the name but it is an attempt at Decentralized cloud computing
so yeah slowly but surely these will come up
May 2, 2023, 8:01 AM
cloud computing and decentralization? that sounds like contradictory
cloud is just some else's computer
May 2, 2023, 8:02 AM
I'm not sure how they manage to do that
but their description said that
May 2, 2023, 8:02 AM
they probably pay like $5 bucks to write those whitepaper/description
May 2, 2023, 8:03 AM
haha idk that
May 2, 2023, 8:03 AM
Hi, there are giving me all the token thag includes erc721and 1155 if wallet holds them. I just need erc20.
Also I have tried them. They sometimes provide incorrect token symbol, which is failing my coingecko api request for price.
If you can provide me more specific API, it would be a great help.

May 2, 2023, 8:21 AM
no their web3 api does thay
nft api fetches the erc721 and 1155 data
use chainlink if you want absolute preciseness
May 2, 2023, 8:42 AM
I just want to display my treasury wallet token holding on dashboard
May 2, 2023, 8:43 AM
check again with alchemy
I remember they have that
erc20 price api
May 2, 2023, 8:44 AM
yeah, I also saw fortranspose but to is not working
I'm able to get the prices, I need all the token holding and their symbol
May 2, 2023, 8:44 AM
haha hardcode them
May 2, 2023, 8:45 AM
can't its dynamic π’
May 2, 2023, 8:45 AM
api call also have symbol i think
check on quicknode
May 2, 2023, 8:46 AM
yeah do you have any specs api you have used before?
which I can try out?
which I can try out?
May 2, 2023, 8:46 AM
nah I am currently focusing on smart contracts and Solidity
I'll do front end later
beginner hereπ
May 2, 2023, 8:47 AM
ohk
May 2, 2023, 8:47 AM
graphQL

I suggest you read bitcoin's whitepaper to understand why blockchain is needed. The reason for the existence of decentralized technologies is that transactions can be made without the need for trust and intermediary institutions.
May 2, 2023, 4:39 PM
lol
May 2, 2023, 4:42 PM
It's bull shit
May 2, 2023, 4:53 PM
Try to transfer 1m USD internationally via PayPal. Good luck lol
May 2, 2023, 4:54 PM
then take a superficial look at the ethereum virtual machine and how ethereum works
May 2, 2023, 4:54 PM
Bitcoin goal is decentralise yet for owning full node you have to pay thousands of dollars for powerful server
Only big players afford that
I am sol dev
Almost every project i worked for is bullshit
Feel like whole blockchain is scam at times π
People just buy narratives
They don't care your tech
May 2, 2023, 5:01 PM
I completely agree...just read some comments here.
The problem is...everyone want to create a token...and hope it goes up based on faith.
If you want faith...go to a fucking church.
Blockchain technology is so much more than that.
When will people start to see it's actual value?

Midwit take
May 2, 2023, 10:22 PM
lemme tell you something.... Most people are dumb ... rest is yours to figure out
they'll never realise it themselves unless someone spoon feeds them
and maybe that's why there is the problem of people not understanding the tech at all and just buy narratives
