Hey guys, can anyone help us with nft 1155 royalties? Is there a way to hard code royalty into smart contract so that royalties will be paid every time wherever this nft is sold?

ERC 2918

It only allows you to signal royalty, i.e. anyone can see that there is royalty and where to pay, but it doesn’t allow the payment itself :(
We want to sell newly created nfts on our marketplace and then get royalties from reselling - even if people trade those nfts outside our marketplace

2918 is applicable for both NFT contracts and marketplaces. So marketplaces themselves have to become 2918 compatible. Unfortunately most of the marketplaces does not implement it yet
You can make your own marketplace 2981 compatible, but can't expect it for other marketplaces

Marketplaces have not much incentive to support 2918 outside their scope.

Yep, that’s the problem we are trying to solve :) so, there is no way now to hard code royalties that are automatically paid no matter where nfts are resold?

You can only specify this much amout should be paid to this user as incentive, but cannot force other marketplaces to actually pay the amount
Its more like following a standard, like common type C charger instead of each company making their own :)

Doesn’t feel like there is true web3 that solves the problem of platform lockup 😂 very pity

Much like many flop EIP standards, the adoption is very unlikely
The issue is they're late with the standard.
The other reason could be an unnecessary burden and many would argue whether there should or shouldn't be royalties at all.
Not something like ERC721/20 where everyone agrees.

ethersjs < web3js

Technically you are right, ethers have smaller size compared to web3 :)
