I guess they refer to the frontends. Well it would stop part of the action but the actual contracts are of course not (only) on AWS. Running a node on a cloud server is not recommended in any case. So random guys would stop using defi but integrations to other contracts/projects would work just fine

"simply" shutting down aws won't affect Blockchain lol. All we need is frontend which connects to web3, not aws
