Is is possible and good practise to set a variable in a require statement? Didnt find any source where someone did it like this. Have an auction contract and a "ended" boolean

In require its checked by timedtamps if auction is ended. Want to set boolean after check

No I don't think that's possible. You can only check a boolean condition. Just set the variable after the require
