There’s one company that provides most of the mining hardware. There are only a few dominant exchanges. To the extent that most people interact with bitcoin, it is through these centralized systems. This also allows for attacks against blockchain-based systems.

Again, it's a part of evolving, Bitcoin started from few computers and become the biggest decentralized system world has ever seen, evolving continuously. Some factors come which make it kinda centralized but they are trying too hard to maintain their place and likely fall as the interest, adoption increases
We had one big exchange handling 90% transactions in 2013(Mt Gox), achieving this kind of dominance today is almost impossible
