Is someone else experiencing strange differences between testchain and mainnet performance?

When I am testing my current contract on the testchain, all goes through without any problems in max 2-3 min verification time.

On Mainnet the same function calls run out of gas or take multiple days.

are u using ropsten? or which testnet
did u have a look into gas settings? I guess you should set a suitable gasprice...
ethgasstation.info recommends 4gwei of gasprice if u wanna be under 2 min

I used rinkeby
I used 30 Gwei 😀
As soon as a tx goes through or fails I can share it here

This is pending

If I were you, I would use Ropsten first... and be careful setting an extremely high gas price, Idk on mainnnet but I had some problems in the past setting a high gasprice over ropsten
and this is not working, tx not found

Yes, I am on my mobile and only have that id. The last one looked the same and went through after 2 days
Hmkay..sucks a lil bit to be honest. What’s the difference between ropsten and rinkeby? Aren’t they both 1:1 clones of Eth?

Ropsten has pow and rinkeby is poa
Aug 28, 2018, 6:50 PM
Why would they waste resources for pow on a testnet lol

Do you have any source? I could find something via google

ropsten is the network that best reproduces the mainnet
despite of that, its possible to run your app over ropsten with no problems, and face some on production...

Okay, thank you 👌🏾
Yeah, exactly what happened... All goes smoothly on ropsten, but the mainnet still reks me

but what exactly happens?
did u try to send the same tx by hand via web3-node?

I tried it with 2 different approaches.

1. Deployment via remix and metamask, which worked like a charm for previous contracts. Then exekuting functions from remix or ethescan after I confirmed the code there.

2. Push DApp to Github and make it a github page. Call functions there.

None of them worked sadly.
